Your key responsibilities include:

  • Translating system architecture into design by evaluating alternatives, setting system characteristics, and managing overall system design.
  • Supporting system structure creation: determining key system elements and technology selection.
  • Balancing system elements and understanding interdependencies between systems and sub-systems.
  • Working across the full product lifecycle – from concept to deployment.
  • Defining requirements, use cases, system behavior, and system-level solutions.
  • Leading technical negotiations with suppliers and partners.
  • Supporting engineers and development processes to deliver next-generation vessels.
  • Staying up to date on emerging technologies and implementing them in system architecture.

What we offer:

Systems Engineer –

Work flexibly

We have offices both in Saaremaa and Tallinn, and we offer the possibility of hybrid work. While we prefer on-site work at the shipyard, remote work is possible during certain periods when the workflow allows. You'll be joining a supportive, professional, and collaborative team that's great to work with both day-to-day and at team events.

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Experience with requirements management and process development.
  • Familiarity with ship systems or marine engineering.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Background in defense industry product development.
  • Knowledge of automation and electrical systems.

BWB yard is located in Nasva, Saaremaa and offices are located in Tallinn and Nasva.
