"As a Sales Manager at Positium, the partnerships you build can directly shape how countries make decisions. This role gives you the chance to do work with real societal impact – projects that matter to governments, and to you personally. You’ll get to collaborate across cultures, travel internationally, and see firsthand how your contribution makes a difference. For example, we’ve helped improve tourism statistics in Indonesia and work closely with public sector partners all over the world, from Europe to the Middle East. This is the kind of meaningful impact you can create at Positium."

Gerttu Pilsar

Chief Excecutive Officer

"At Positium, we see huge untapped potential in sales. Our team already includes skilled salespeople, but we are looking for a leader who can channel their efforts, bring clarity and structure, and help us reach the next level. This role is about more than managing – it’s about being hands-on with clients, shaping strategy, and leading by example. If you are ambitious, results-driven, and excited about making a global impact, then this is the opportunity to truly leave your mark."

Margus Tiru

Member of the Board

"I’ve been with Positium for 18 years because this field is close to my heart and because of the people I work with. Our culture is open, supportive and full of humour – we share lunches, organise events and make the atmosphere richer together. We’re looking for a Sales Manager who doesn’t just come to work, but helps make the company better. Someone who is ambitious and proactive, ready to roll up their sleeves and lead hands-on sales. If you thrive in an international environment and want to leave a mark in how countries make decisions, you’ll fit right in."

POSITIUM

Positium is the only data analytics company in the world specialising in mobile positioning data for official statistics. Founded in 2003, we have nearly two decades of experience working with global clients and scientists alike. Positium develops cool GIS solutions, high-quality methodology, software, and expertise to process MPD for insights on the spatio-temporal behaviour of human beings.

Your base will be our modern city-center office in Tartu, and you'll work closely with the industry experts, sales team and our management board.

Global reach

At Positium, your work will never be limited to one market. You will collaborate with clients and partners from different parts of the world – from national statistical offices to ministries and international organisations – giving you a front-row seat to how data shapes societies. This position offers, and at times requires, international travelling, allowing you to build relationships face-to-face.

We genuinely care about our people. Feedback and satisfaction are taken seriously on an individual level, ensuring that everyone feels heard and supported. At the same time, we keep our culture light-hearted – we share lunches, laugh together, and enjoy team activities outside of work. Once a year, we dedicate a full development week to learning and growing as a team.

Flexible work

We value results over rigid schedules. At Positium, you can plan your work in a way that suits you best - whether from our Tartu office or from home -  as long as you remain available to your colleagues when needed and fulfil your commitments. We trust our people to manage their time wisely, allowing you to balance work and personal life without compromising impact. Flexibility here goes both ways – giving you freedom, while ensuring the team can rely on each other.

Your role at Positium is to drive hands-on sales activities and develop new opportunities, especially within the public sector

Actively participate in sales strategy discussions, identify new market opportunities, and design clear go-to-market implementation plans

Additionally, we expect you to

Lead, motivate and develop our sales team by creating or refining systems, routines and processes to improve effectiveness

Take full ownership of achieving both personal and company wide sales targets

Monitor sales activities and results, adapting plans and tactics to ensure continuous growth

You succeed in this position when you leverage your sales experience to deliver results in global public sector markets

You're a perfect fit for our team if you

Have university degree and practical hands-on sales experience, preferably in the field of data, IT, or analytics

Have proven experience working with and selling to a public sector internationally

Are proactive, ambitious, and independent – not waiting for instructions, but taking initiative, learning fast, and not afraid to test, fail, and improve

Communicate with clarity and confidence. Professional-level English is a must, and any additional languages (including Estonian) are a plus

Lead by example – close deals yourself while guiding the team toward higher performance, and continuously seeking ways to shorten sales cycles and maximize efficiency
